what is Positano?
A town on the Amalfi Coast. Originally a fishing village, some of the best food in the world, not only great for seafood (although you can't go wrong with fish and crustaceans here).
what do you do in Positano?
Positano is a good place to visit for the day if you are in a town nearby, or to spend a few days in.
There are lots of beautiful little shops along the road and down the stairs to the port. Beautiful restaurants resting on the cliffs.
It's a nice town if you're looking to relax, have a swim in the nearby beaches.
It's also a central location to get to other cities by car or boat.

Positano is full of restaurants varying from casual restaurants to upscale fancy ones. There is a lot of good seafood, but it's to limited to that.
I recommend La Cambusa as a good restaurant right at the marina in the center of the classic colorful view of Positano.

By car is fastest, but it isn't a car friendly town if you're looking to stay in Positano.
