    • Boat and tour prices vary but start around 13 euros one way, 35 round trip from different ports. I left from Positano because the weather was bad.

Boat and tour prices start from 13 euros one way. It's 35 euros round trip from different ports. The day I went the weather wasn't good, I left from Positano.

Once in Capri, I did a boat tour with Whale Tours which cost 100 euros for two hours, but it is a completely private tour, they will try to get you to some hidden spots or go out when the big tour boats aren't there.

food

There are several restaurants around the island varying in price. Capri has some really nice restaurants with spectacular views, ideal for a romantic or celebratory meal.

There are also markets, cafes, gelato, etc.

how to get there

facts about Capri

  • First settlers were Greek in the 8th century BC

  • Monte Salero is the highest point at 590 meters (about 1,935 feet), with the most amazing view - 12 minutes by chairlift

  • Where the "caprese salad" gets it's name

  • Was Augustus' favorite vacation spot

  • East side of the island is Capri, West side of the island is Anacapri

By ferry, there are several different ports that have boats going to Capri. I went from Positano.

please note

*Note: the amount of tourists that come in can be overwhelming. The best way to see the island is to take a taxi to the Marina Piccola and getting a boat with "Capri Whales" Stefano was in charge and Alessio was our tour guide. It's a lot more private and fun. It's definitely the way to go if the weather is bad too, we got to swim in the Green Grotta.
