overall
We had a great experience on the island. The sunset is beautiful, worth the little hike. Getting to see one of the most famous waves in the world (Cloudbreak) was perfect. We also got to snorkel at Honeymoon Island, which is next to Castaway Island (where they filmed the movie).
cleanliness
The dorm rooms, eating areas, and bures were very clean. The bathrooms in the dorms weren't very clean. The showers weren't bad.
staff
They were amazing! We would play volleyball every afternoon with them. Everyone wanted to make sure we were having a good time. We were always invited to eat and drink more. It was an extremely inclusive group.
things to do
You can go to Cloudbreak to surf the wave, or just check it out (it's an awesome experience). They offer day trips to Cloud 9, and short snorkeling trips. We played volleyball and hung out. People were kite boarding outside of the hotel, there is good onshore wind. There is a pool available with a nice place to lounge outside. However, there is no nice beach to just relax on, and the island is on the quiet side.
price
The dorms were a great value for money, we were provided with a little cubby for our valuables. The beds were made for us every day, and the food was great value.
entertainment/nightlife
Most of the entertainment we had were day trips. There is a TV room and lounge area in the lobby and by the pool. It's really nice and relaxing. We didn't have any shows at night, and it got quiet. However, there is music playing and I could see it becoming a party.
food
The food was really delicious here, and they give cooking lessons to make a local dish with seafood and coconut. There is a menu for lunch and a buffet for dinner. Happy hours are also available throughout the day/night. In the dorm, they make you pay upfront for a meal plan, you get good food and enough food for the price.
amenities
We had shampoo, conditioner, and soap available for free. Towels were also available. Wi-Fi was on the whole time, and reached our dorms.
location
The resort is quite close to the mainland; you can take a 30 minute boat ride to Port Denarau. It's close to lots of good surf spots like Restaurants and Cloudbreak. There is another hotel on the island under construction.​

There is no shopping available on the island. If you get hungry the restaurant offers some food during the day. There are also day trips to Musket Cove Resort which has a nice mini market, there is also a cafe on that island.
We stayed in the dorms, but there were lots of bures along the boardwalk that had families in them. Everyone mixed for meals and volleyball everyday.
