things to do
The resort has a pool, an area to rent kayaks and paddle boards, along with a fun lounge area. It's really nice to eat by the pool in front of the ocean. They have ping pong, pool table, and other fun games too. There is also an activities board with lots of different things to try throughout the day. Transportation to Pacific Harbour is available, there are so many things to do there.
price
The price was great and everyone there was really accommodating. We had 3 people in a 2-person bure because their dorms were full. You will be spending more money on the activities around the hotel than on your actual accommodation.
overall
We loved this resort and would love to go back. It's a good location to get to Pacific Harbour and do some really fun activities. The reception ladies were amazing, especially when it came to being peristent in getting us spots on fun expeditions. It's on the mainland, about an hour and half from Nadi. We took a bus that left us in the middle of the road in front of the resort, then someone came and picked us up from that spot and took us into the resort. You can also hire hotel transport to taking you directly to the hotel.
cleanliness
Mango Bay was really clean, we had a cleaning service in our bure everyday. The showers are outside, everything was rock and clean.
staff
The staff at this resort were so nice. Everyone from reception to the bartender was great. The only reason I gave it a 4-star rating was because of the owner's son. All of the staff and the owner were really lovely and welcoming. They really go out of their way to make sure you have a good time and take advantage of all there is to do in Pacific Harbour.
food
Everything in the resort is on a menu. Usually with 3-4 options to choose from as part of your meal plan. This was one of the best places we ate in Fiji. It was a good value for money. Breakfast is simple but you can order a more extensive meal for an extra amount.
amenities
entertainment/nightlife
The hotel has a board in the main eating area that has a series of fun things to do at night if you want. Things from Cava Ceremonies to Trivia. Every night had party at the end. With that being said, it was usually very lively at the restaurant and pool, the rooms/bures were quiet. There were happy hours, with a good group it can be a really fun night.
shopping
There is no shopping at the resort. However, there is shopping on the way to Pacific Harbour in a little plaza. That has a little supermarket, cafe, ATM, and some souvenir shops.
We had beach towels, and showering towels available for us in our rooms free of charge. Other amenities were available. No hair dryer or anything more than the basics.
location
The resort was a little further away from Pacific Harbour than we thought. It took us an average of 20-45 minutes to arrive to any activity in Pacific Harbour. That being said, it didn't bother us at all, the drives are beautiful and don't seem as long. You will also be paying more to stay in Pacific Harbour
room variety
Mango Bay has a good amount of rooms available. There is anything from a dorm to beautiful Ocean Front Bures. There are other Bures available too, the resort is very green and jungle-like so there really isn't a bad room.
