should you book?

Yes. We almost missed this because we didn't book it. It's worth it, it was one of our favorite days.

what is rivers Fiji?

Rivers Fiji is a rafting tour down the Navua River. It takes about 5 hours to go down, through beautiful canyons and jungle. The river is in a conservation so everything is untouched.

what do you do at rivers Fiji?

You raft down, stop to have lunch on waterfalls, and hear stories about Cannibals and the old villages.

what to bring

  • Bathing suit

  • T-shirt

  • Sports shorts or leggings

  • The water is cold so something to keep you warm that won't stay wet for hours is best. There is a dry bag that can be brought on the raft, it's not big so just bring the essentials. The rapids aren't very difficult but you will be getting wet. There is a photographer there, we brought our own GoPro and had a lot of fun filming the whole thing.

price

The price was more expensive than most other activities we did in Fiji. However, it was worth it. And a big percentage goes to preserving the river and jungle, another percentage to the village. That especially made it worth it.

is it worth it?

Absolutely! It was another top 3 day on our trip. We laughed a lot and really enjoyed the canyons. Aside from the breathtaking landscapes, we got to see lots of cool animals and plants in the jungle.

Once you arrive you will get some juice and a snack. About half way through the guys set up a picnic on these little waterfalls. It's a little sandwich station with a variety of toppings.

how to get there

Rivers Fiji comes to your hotel to pick you up. Our hotel was just outside of Pacific Harbour and it was no problem. A bus then picks you up and drops you off at a different bus. This bus will take you through the jungle for an hour and a half. Beware that the second bus through the jungle is a bumpy ride.
