Buca Mario

All of us agreed that this is the most delicious food we had in Florence. If you enjoy meat, I would highly recommend the Fiorentina steak, you need to eat at least one in its home town of Florence. This one was amazing. The service here was really good, all of the waiters are really nice. The restaurant is a lot bigger once you go underground. However you should make a reservation since it's quite popular.

Gusta Pizza

This restaurant is on the other side of the river from il Duomo, next to Palazzo Pitti. the pizza is absolutely delicious. It gets really busy, and there are only a few tables inside, but it's worth it. It's very young, a popular hotspot for students. Piazza Santo Spirito is just around the corner, another popular meeting point to go out.

La Carraia

Just one thing to say about this place, BEST ice cream in the world. Trust me, I've tried a lot of ice cream, and my obsession with ice cream is out of this world. I can safely say it is my favorite ice cream in the world. I would also like to recommend to my fellow chocolate lovers, the Bacio flavor, you won't regret it. It's two bridges down from Ponte Vecchio on the corner.

SE STO on Arno

SE STO on Arno is a perfect place for an apperitivo. Just order a drink and take in the view. It's more expensive than other places but the view is gorgeous. They have a buffet style apperitivo, it fills up so I would try to get there early so you can get a table outside on the terrace.
